Dr. Eric Jackson's Fifth Annual Blood Drive at the Vitalant Westmont Community Donation Center

While Coronavirus fears are causing cancellations of blood drives here in the Chicagoland and throughout our nation, Downers Grove-based dentist Eric Jackson is steadfast in his mission of ensuring there’s an adequate supply of blood for area hospitals.

Dr. Jackson is encouraging his patients and the entire community to make a life-saving blood donation by visiting the Vitalant Donor Center, 1133 Fairview Ave. in Westmont. Those who do so by April 15 and mention GROUP CODE 227G will receive a voucher for a free Firehouse Subs sandwich and be entered in a raffle to win a set of custom teeth whitening trays (a $300 value).

Amidst novel coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention measures, Vitalant and other blood centers nationwide are urging healthy individuals to donate blood—and organizations to maintain scheduled blood drives—to ensure patients have the blood they need.

Appointments are highly recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. To schedule your appointment, visit www.vitalant.org and search for GROUP CODE 227G or call (877) 258-4825. After you have scheduled an appointment, RSVP to our Facebook Event page and encourage your friends and family to make an appointment as well!

Thousands of volunteers blood drive coordinators partner with us to ensure a safe blood supply is available for patients who need it.
