The Need
Did you know that every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion? That means that every day, Vitalant needs to collect as many as 5,500 blood donations. The only way that is possible is by working with a large number of volunteer blood donors and blood drive coordinators. Blood drive coordinators inspire and empower others to act on their desire to help. It’s an amazing way to pay it forward.
What it takes to be a blood drive coordinator
There is no financial cost to host a blood drive. Our staff will provide you with all the knowledge and tools you’ll need to succeed.
The main requirement is your desire to help others. After that, there are just a few things to consider to determine if hosting a blood drive is right for you. Preferably, the blood drive you host will be on-site where you work, live, worship…almost anywhere you can bring together a group of people. But if that isn’t an option for you, we now offer virtual blood drives.
