At this time, we require both staff and donors to wear a face covering at blood drives or donation centers. Appointments are also strongly recommended.

One patient. One donor who offers hope. One simple action can mean a second chance for many tomorrows. You could make an extraordinary difference for patients who need marrow or stem cell transplants. Every three minutes, someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer like leukemia or other life-threatening blood diseases. The cure courses through your body and it could be you turning someone’s life around. Through Vitalant’s partnership with Be The Match® (the National Marrow Donor Program), you may find you are the one and only match for someone who doesn't have one in their own family.

Vitalant’s Marrow Program supports the fight against blood cancer by adding potential donors to the national registry. In addition, our knowledgeable team facilitates lifesaving stem cell and marrow transplants for patients at local hospitals.

Join the Registry

If you are between the ages of 18 and 44, patients need you. Doctors choose registry members in this age range more than 90 percent of the time. The need is critical for young volunteers with diverse racial and ethnic heritages. Patients and donors must have matching tissue types, and these matches are most often found among people of similar ethnic and racial backgrounds.

There are many other ways that you can help. You can become a volunteer, attend events, spread the word through communities and social media and make a financial donation.

Make today the day you sign up to brighten someone’s day with the gift of hope.
