COVID-19 Antibody Test Results 2022

Anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody was detected at levels sufficiently high that your plasma may be used as COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma.

Reactive+ test results may occur: after a COVID-19 vaccination, or during or after a COVID-19 infection.

Additional information about Reactive+ test results:
  • Rarely, a Reactive+ test result may be due to infection with a related common-cold coronavirus or other conditions, or it could be a false-positive result. If you haven’t been vaccinated and don’t believe you had COVID-19 or were exposed to it, this might be the case.
  • If you’ve been vaccinated, this test cannot determine if you ever had a COVID infection.
  • The meaning of a Reactive+ antibody result in individuals who had COVID-19 or received a COVID-19 vaccine is unknown. You should not interpret Reactive+ test results to mean that having antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 will protect you from getting infected again or help reduce the severity or duration of a future COVID-19 infection.
Anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody was detected, but not at a level required for your plasma to be used as COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma, per FDA recommendations.

Results indicated that detectable levels of antibodies to the virus that causes COVID-19 were not present, or that you may have antibodies present, but the level was too low to be picked up by the test. It is also possible, but much less likely, that the test results could be falsely negative.

Additional information about Negative test results:
  • The significance of a negative test result for individuals who had COVID-19 or received a COVID-19 vaccine is unknown.
  • Negative results do not rule out a recent SARS-CoV-2 infection. The results of antibody testing should not be used to diagnose symptoms or rule out SARS-CoV-2 infection.
  • Test results are pending (if it’s been less than 2 weeks since your donation).
  • Your donation was incomplete, and no antibody test was performed (if it’s been more than 2 weeks since your donation).
  • You may also see N/A for donations made on or before March 20, 2022.
Your blood couldn’t be tested because there wasn’t enough sample or for other reasons. You will not receive any additional test results for this donation.
