Physical gift card will NOT be handed out at the blood donation location.

You'll receive a $25 gift card via Vitalant's Donor Rewards program. Plus, a chance to win one of two epic vacation packages.

Donors must have a valid email address in their Vitalant donor record.

First-time donors are encouraged to opt in to Donor Rewards once their donor account is created. However, donors will have a 14-day grace period after their donation to opt in to receive points for that donation.

Donation points will be added to the participating donor account approximately 7-14 days after the donation.

Donors must log into to their donor account to access the online donor store to redeem their points for the gift card.

Donors may qualify for
additional promos during
this same time frame.

FAQs

Am I eligible to donate blood?

The majority of the U.S. population is eligible to give blood, but only about 3% actually do. Find out if you're eligible.

 

Is donating blood safe?

Donating blood is safe. Sterile, disposable needles and supplies are used once and then properly disposed. You cannot contract any infectious disease by donating blood.

How long does it take to donate whole blood?

It takes about an hour from completing the health history questionnaire through the medical screening and post-donation refreshments and snacks. The donation itself only takes about 10 minutes.

 

*Donors who donate with Vitalant for the first time and present to give whole blood, Power Red, platelets or plasma at a Vitalant donation center during the promotional time frame (May 1-31 2025), will qualify for this promotion if they schedule their appointment using code DONATE25-2025-V. Donors must create an online donor account AND opt-in to the Donor Rewards program immediately following their donation to earn Rewards points. Offer is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Offer is subject to change at any time during the promotional time frame. Approximately 2 weeks after donation, bonus points will be added to the donor’s account, which will be enough to redeem for a $25 electronic gift card of choice in the online donor rewards store.
