You'll receive up to $25 in gift cards via Vitalant's Donor Rewards program. Plus, a chance to win one of five $5,000 gift cards.

Donors must have an
active Vitalant online
donor account created that includes a valid email address.

First-time donors are encouraged to opt in to Donor Rewards once their donor account is created. However, donors will have a 14-day grace period after their donation to opt in to receive points for that donation.

Donation points will be added to the participating donor account approximately 7-14 days after the donation.

Donors must log in to their donor account to access the online donor store to redeem their points for the gift card.

Donors may qualify for

FAQs

Am I eligible to donate blood?

The majority of the U.S. population is eligible to give blood, but only about 3% actually do. Find out if you're eligible.

 

Is donating blood safe?

Donating blood is safe. Sterile, disposable needles and supplies are used once and then properly disposed. You cannot contract any infectious disease by donating blood.

How long does it take to donate whole blood?

It takes about an hour from completing the health history questionnaire through the medical screening and post-donation refreshments and snacks. The donation itself only takes about 10 minutes.

 

*Donors who donate with Vitalant for the first time and present to give whole blood, Power Red, platelets or plasma at a Vitalant donation center during the promotional time frame (Dec. 2-20, 2024), will qualify for this promotion if they schedule their appointment using code DONATE25-2024-V. Donors must create an online donor account AND opt in to the Donor Rewards program immediately following their donation to earn Rewards points. Offer is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Offer is subject to change at any time during the promotional time frame. Approximately 2 weeks after donation, enough bonus points will be added to the donor’s account, which will be enough to redeem for a total of $25 in electronic gift cards of choice in the online donor rewards store. Physical gift card will NOT be handed out at the blood donation location, nor will a redemption email be sent.
