- Step 1: Give 4 or more blood donations with Vitalant from Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2025. NOTE: see below for other ways to qualify.
- Step 2: Within a few days of giving the qualifying donation, type O-positive donors will receive an email encouraging you to visit the Vitalant online donor store to order your vest.* Donor Rewards program opt-in is required. Type A-positive and B-positive donors will receive an email in January 2026 with instructions on how to claim your Vital Elite fleece vest.**
- Step 3: Wear your Vital Elite fleece vest with pride! You’ll feel great knowing you helped sickle cell patients.

Helpful Tip: You can schedule several blood donations at one time. Simply make sure to schedule each donation at least 56 days from the last donation for whole blood or 112 days from the last donation for Power Red.

Important information about the 2025 Vital Elite fleece vest:
- Donors with blood types O+, A+ or B+ will qualify for the fleece vest in 2025 by giving:
- 4 or more whole blood donations.
- 2 whole blood and 1 Power Red donations.
- 2 Power Red donations.
- Once you qualify, you’ll receive a congratulations email from us.
- Type O+ donors:*
- You need to have an online donor account AND be opted into the Donor Rewards program to be able to order the vest in the online donor store.
- Within two days after giving your qualifying donation, log in to your donor account, then click “Rewards” and “Redeem Rewards” to enter the online donor rewards store to order the vest. (Note: there are no bonus rewards points associated with this vest; donors who qualify to receive it will see it displayed in the online donor store.)
- Final date to redeem in the online donor store is Jan. 29, 2026.
- Type A+ and B+ donors:**
- In Jan. 2026, you'll receive an email with instructions on how to redeem your Vital Elite fleece vest.
- Final date to order the vest via the redemption email is Jan. 29, 2026.
- Qualifying donors will have the opportunity to select their preferred size (small-3XL).
- The vest will NOT be handed out at the blood donation location.
- Limit of 1 Vital Elite fleece vest per donor.
- Please allow up to 3 weeks to receive the vest in the mail. While supplies last.

*Type O-positive donors who give four (4) whole blood donations, or two (2) whole blood donations plus one (1) Power Red donation, or two (2) Power Red donations during the promotional time frame (Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2025) are eligible to redeem for the vest in the online Donor Rewards store ONLY if they’ve first created an online donor account AND opted into the Donor Rewards program. Limit one (1) vest per donor. Vest will NOT be handed out at the blood drive or donation center. Offer is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Offer is subject to change at any time during the promotional time frame. Within two days after donation, the vest will be available in the online donor store. Some donors may qualify for an additional promotion during this same time frame. Vitalant reserves the right to send a gift of equal value in replacement of presented offer. Final date to redeem the vest in the online donor store is Jan. 29, 2026. Please allow up to 3 weeks for it to arrive in the mail. While supplies last.
