For 25 years, KCRA 3 has been our community partner in sponsoring a four-day blood drive in early January to help ensure that blood is available for patient needs. January is National Blood Donor Month because after the winter holidays and with the cold and flu season upon us, there is often a dip in blood collections even though blood donations are still critically needed.
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. When you donate blood, you provide a lifesaving treatment for patients undergoing surgery, experiencing trauma or battling cancer and blood disorders. Schedule your appointment today to make a difference in someone’s life!
