Vitalant Colorado donation centers and blood drives
The Denver Broncos have generously supported Vitalant's mission partnering with the community to save lives through blood donation since 1998 with an annual Drive for Life blood drive.
This fall, we're driving that community spirit to not only help patients in the hospital, but to benefit Colorado's high school communities that are navigating a new school year with unprecedented challenges.
In Colorado alone, high school blood drives account for about 1,900 blood donations projected to be in jeopardy this fall semester. As campuses limit the number of people inside buildings, that limits blood drives typically held in gyms and other indoor spaces. Meanwhile, social distancing guidelines prevent Vitalant bloodmobiles from being a viable alternative. So this fall, we're asking students, staff, alumni, families and the greater communities surrounding those Colorado high schools to consider making up for those donations by giving at a nearby Vitalant donation center or alternate community blood drive.

- When you go through the registration process at your donation appointment, make sure to mention the association code for a participating high school. See if your high school's code is listed in the table below. Can't decide which school to support or don't want to choose among them? Use the Drive for Life association code DEN1726.
The three schools with the most participating support will each receive a $1,500 donation thanks to the Denver Broncos and Vitalant, and a fourth participating school will be randomly drawn to receive a $1,500 donation to represent those who donated under the DEN1726 association code.
But it doesn't end there! Patients need blood products all year round. To better serve and reflect that need, Vitalant blood donors can now give in honor of Drive for Life with every blood donation. Just mention DEN1726 every time you sit down for the registration part of your donation at any Vitalant donation center or blood drive.
