Vitalant Thank-you Gifts

With every donation, you save the lives of trauma and burn patients, premature infants, heart surgery patients, organ transplant recipients or someone fighting cancer. On behalf of these patients, and the families who love them, thank you.

While many donors tell us nothing compares to the satisfaction of helping patients in need, some donors also like to be recognized with thank-you gifts. Here are the three ways that happens:

National Promotions by Redemption

Some gifts are fulfilled through an email redemption process; this will be noted in the promotion’s terms and conditions.

• After coming to donate, a “Thank You” redemption email is sent within two weeks after your donation to the email address you provided Vitalant. Note: If you clicked “unsubscribe” in any prior redemption email and want to receive them again, please contact us.
   
• Redemption emails are sent on Fridays. The email comes from Vitalant Rewards (donotreply@vitalantthankyou.org ). You need to click on the "Claim Gift" button in the email to receive the gift (or click the “No, Thank You” button instead). If it’s been longer than 2 weeks since you donated and you did not receive this email, please check your spam or junk email folder.
  • If you are redeeming a gift card; after the process of claiming the gift card, please allow for an additional 2 business days for the gift card to be delivered to your email address.
  • If you are redeeming a T-shirt (or other physical item); after the process of claiming the item, please allow up to 3 weeks before it is mailed to you.
  • If you do not receive your gift based on the details above, please email rewards@vitalant.org or call 877-25-VITAL.

Donor Recognition Program

• To participate in the donor recognition program and begin earning points, you must opt in BEFORE you donate. Please sign up through your online account. See below.

All other donors:

1. Visit donors.vitalant.org and log in to your donor account. (Haven’t created an account yet? Learn more.)
2. Click "Recognition" in the top menu, then click the link "Manage Donor Recognition Program Options"
   
3. Next, select the option you prefer; the top option will opt you in to the recognition program. Click the "UPDATE" button.
   

• After you’re opted in, you will receive points every time you donate. Once you accrue enough points, you can redeem them for a gift card of your choice by logging in to your online donor account and accessing our online donor store.
  • Points redemption for New Jersey/New York donors
  • Points redemption for all other Vitalant donors
     
• Periodically, Vitalant will offer “bonus points” in the recognition program. The bonus points will be applied up to two weeks after donation.
   
• Please note: in general, gift cards and physical items available through the national promotions redemption process cannot be replaced with points in Vitalant’s donor recognition program, unless the promotion offers bonus points as an option.

Giveaways/Drawings

• Periodically, Vitalant offers a special, higher-value thank-you gift as part of a giveaway, or drawing. Donors who present to donate during a specified time frame are automatically entered into a drawing. When that time frame is over, one or more winners are randomly selected.
   
• Participants must be U.S. citizens who are at least 18 years old on the date the winner(s) are randomly selected (unless otherwise specified in promotion rules).
   
• Winner(s) are contacted by phone and email within 2 weeks after the giveaway time frame ends. If there is no response by the winner(s) after two attempts to contact them within 72 hours, a new winner(s) will be selected.
