More than 700 Vitalant blood donors are needed every day to save patients in 72 Arizona hospitals. Vitalant is Arizona's provider responsible for meeting patient transfusion needs for 100% of the hospitals across Maricopa County and 90% statewide. The number of Americans who give blood is declining. There is no substitute for human blood and many patients cannot survive without it. Giving blood is truly a selfless and heroic act that gives life to patients.
