ABOUT THE BLOOD DRIVES

In 2003, NMSU and UTEP joined forces with Vitalant to launch a week-long blood drive on both campuses. This collaboration has since become a vital event in our community, reflecting our shared commitment to helping those in need.

The primary goal of this annual blood drive is to raise awareness and educate our community about the critical importance of blood donation. Every donation has the potential to save lives, and through this event, we aim to bring together student associations, student-athletes, administration, faculty, and staff to support this lifesaving cause.

We are excited to continue this tradition and look forward to the collective efforts of our campuses to make a significant impact once again this year.

I believe the idea that my blood could help save a life is so amazing. Even though I am not a trained medical professional, I can still make a positive impact on others.
