From Our Family to Yours, Mode Brewing + Kitchen has always been a family business in every sense of the word. Randy and I opened these doors with the idea that it would feel like coming to dinner at our house. Along the way, customers became regulars, regulars became friends, and friends became family. You’ve shown up for us every day, and we don’t take that lightly. Many of you have noticed my absence recently, so we wanted to share honestly with our community.
In November, I was diagnosed with leukemia. While my focus right now is fighting cancer, Mode is still home. This place is a labor of love, and when I’m able, I’ll continue to be here alongside Randy, my mom Gayle, my brother Jeffrey, and our team. We’re still cooking from scratch, brewing our beer, and showing up every day just like we always have. So many of you have asked how you can help. The most meaningful way is simple and powerful: donate blood. Blood donations save lives, and right now, they matter more than ever. I have received countless pints of blood already and I am just at the beginning of this process.
We’re here, we’re grateful, and we’re taking it one day at a time — with a little more heart behind it right now. Showing up, sharing meals, and spending time with us is an incredible way to help our family through this - by continuing to support the restaurant we pour our hearts into every day.
With gratitude, Tracy & The Mode Family
I believe the idea that my blood could help save a life is so amazing. Even though I am not a trained medical professional, I can still make a positive impact on others.
