Amid Blood Emergency, Donors Encouraged to Give in September
Nonprofit blood services provider Vitalant has a blood emergency after its blood supply fell nearly 50% from the beginning of the summer and urges all eligible donors to make an appointment to donate and help replenish the blood supply.

Continued strong patient needs for blood have depleted Vitalant’s supply by nearly 50% since the start of summer, creating an emergency shortage across the country.

Give a Pint, Get a Gallon: Vitalant Urges Donors to Give During Critical Blood Shortage
Nonprofit blood services provider Vitalant is urging all eligible donors to help curb a critical blood shortage with a special thank you to all who give: a $6 prepaid gift card to spend on a gallon of gas or whatever they wish, plus a chance to win one of five, $3,000 prepaid gift cards*.
