Celebrating our Vital Lifesaving Volunteers

A Community We Can Be Proud Of

Dave-Green-2.pngApril 20-26 is Volunteer Appreciation Week, and I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each of you who dedicates your time and energy to supporting Vitalant’s lifesaving mission. Our volunteers are the heart of our organization, ensuring that every donor has a welcoming and meaningful experience, which translates to patients receiving lifesaving blood. In fact, last year alone, 912 volunteers worked 44,551 hours and drove 386,688 miles to help us provide a steady and reliable blood supply to hospitals and patients in need.

Every day, I see the impact of your commitment — whether you’re greeting donors with a warm smile, assisting at blood drives, delivering blood to hospitals or spreading awareness about the critical need for blood donations in your communities. Your efforts directly contribute to saving lives, and that is something truly remarkable.

Thanks to you, we can continue to ensure a safe blood supply is available for patients who need it. Your selfless service embodies the very essence of compassion and generosity, and we couldn’t do this without you.

During this special month, we celebrate you. We recognize your hard work, your dedication and your unwavering commitment to helping others. This selfless behavior embodies the very essence of compassion and generosity, and we couldn’t do this without you.

In 2025, let’s continue to lead with our hearts each and every day to better our community and even the world.

From all of us at Vitalant, thank you for being a vital part of our mission — for which your contributions are and will always be invaluable.

With deep appreciation,
