Your blood donation helps Arizona residents like Eric
He doesn’t remember the moment his life changed. Blood donors made it possible for him to have one. Eric has spent his career with organizations like Optum, Avella, The Arizona AIDS Drug Assistance Program, Southern Arizona VA Medical Center, CPS Specialty Pharmacy, and UMC Banner Health, helping patients access the care they need. In 2024, a cycling accident nearly took his life. He was hit by a car traveling 45 mph and suffered severe internal injuries, multiple fractures, and brain trauma. During his emergency care, Eric required 14 units of blood, plasma, and platelets. He survived because those units were there when he needed them most. Today, Eric and his wife Linda have turned that experience into action. They donate blood, host blood drives, and share his story so more people understand what’s at stake. Fourteen donors made it possible for him to be here.
