Vitalant, a leading nonprofit provider of blood and biotherapies services, today announced the appointment of Tom Jordan and Gabrielle Vitale to its board of trustees. The board is entrusted with the governance of the organization, ensuring the fulfillment of its critical mission to save and improve lives.
About the trustees
Tom Jordan brings over 30 years of global healthcare leadership experience to Vitalant's board. As president and CEO of HemaSource, Inc., a provider of medical products and services to specialty ambulatory clinics, Mr. Jordan possesses deep expertise in commercial operations, medical affairs, business development, finance, logistics, and product and software development. He holds a finance degree from the University of Iowa and dual citizenship in Germany and the United States. His strategic acumen and comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape will be invaluable to Vitalant.
Gabrielle Vitale is a seasoned business executive with a distinguished 37-year career marked by extensive experience in operations, corporate governance, compliance, and risk management. Most recently, she served as chief compliance officer at American Express, where she led a global team of 1,300 professionals across 20 countries, overseeing global regulatory compliance. Ms. Vitale's strategic leadership and profound expertise in cyber, technology, finance, operational, and regulatory risk management will provide significant guidance to Vitalant. She holds a finance degree from Arizona State University.
