Vitalant Statement on Spokane Wildfires

Our hearts are with all those impacted by the Washington wildfires. 

Vitalant staff are safe; however, several team members have lost their homes, and many more are displaced by evacuations. Vitalant is doing everything it can to support our team members and the community during this difficult time. 

Vitalant continues to collect and provide lifesaving blood to area hospitals. Those in unaffected areas and those who can travel safely in Washington and Idaho are encouraged to make an appointment to donate in the coming days and weeks.  

Appointments help ensure a smooth flow of donors during this unpredictable time, and Vitalant can contact donors with appointments should donation center or community blood drive schedules change due to the impact of the wildfires. As a national network, Vitalant can also move blood donations from unaffected areas to where they are needed most.
