Coming soon: No more waiting for a redemption email or searching your spam folder when you receive certain thank-you gift cards from Vitalant. Over the next several months, we’re making it easier for you to receive some of these offers!
Starting with the Cool Summer Bonus, you’ll be able to go to the Vitalant donor recognition store and redeem for some of your gift cards. We’ll add other thank-you gifts like T-shirts by the end of the year.
Within 7 to 14 days of your successful donation, you will receive enough points in your recognition store account to redeem for the thank-you gift amount. Redeem it at your convenience – you can even save your points for a higher-value gift card. Your points remain active as long as you have come to donate within the past 15 months.
IMPORTANT: If you haven’t already, you will need to create a donor account and opt in to the recognition program. Instructions for doing both can be found on our website. Click “Joining the program and eligibility” section on the page for details.
For example, let’s say you successfully donate over a holiday weekend and qualify for a $10 gift card. Within 7 to 14 days, enough points will be added to your recognition account to redeem for a $10 gift card. Sign in to your online donor account and click the “Recognition” tab to see your point balance, then “Use Points” if you wish to redeem. Click on the gift card you want (and have enough points for) and follow the redemption process.
Your online donor account not only allows you to redeem your thank-you gifts, but also shows your donation history, upcoming appointments, wellness results (blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.) and your donor ID. You can also make appointments, Refer a Friend and change your communication preferences through your donor account.
