Creating a new account on our updated donor portal is easy! Please follow these simple steps to complete your one-time account set up:

If this is your first time visiting our new donor portal (donors.vitalant.org), you'll need to create an account first. You may have recently received an email from email@example.com (if you've provided your email address to us previously) with an invitation to set up your account. If you did not receive this email and you've checked your junk email folder, be sure to add "firstname.lastname@example.org" to your approved senders list. Then, simply follow the steps at the top of this page to create your account.
Activation links are valid for 30 days. If the link in this email expired, you can simply create an account from our donor portal. (See instructions at the top of this page.)
You can search for an appointment without logging in first, but will be required to either log in or create a new account in order to confirm the appointment. If you create a new account, the appointment will be created and saved immediately, even if you don’t fully activate your account through the two-step activation process. We strongly encourage you to complete the account activation process when you schedule your appointment. Watch for an email from email@example.com with a link you’ll need to click to create and activate your new account. Once you click the link, you’ll be prompted to create/confirm a password.
No. You must have a unique email address that is not used by another Vitalant donor to create an account.
If you've already created an account on our new donor portal, go to our home page and click "Log In" and then "Forgot password?" Enter your email address (one you've already provided to Vitalant) and you will receive an automated email from "firstname.lastname@example.org" that contains a link. Click the link in the email to confirm your account. You'll then receive a second email with a temporary password. You will be prompted to create and confirm a new password. If you did not receive this email and you've checked your junk email folder, be sure to add "email@example.com" to your approved senders list. Then, follow the steps above.
You can only complete the Fast Track Health History on the day of your donation appointment. The button will be clickable at that time.
Yes! Simply click the 'Fast Track Health History' link on our donor portal (no need to log in to your account) and complete the questionnaire.
If you've completed the health history questionnaire after logging into your donor portal account, click the "Fast Track Ticket" button on our site's home page. You will receive an email with your Fast Track Ticket attached to it. You have the option to print the ticket and bring it with you, or display the ticket on your mobile device so our staff can scan the ticket's bar code.
If you've completed the Fast Track Health History without logging in to your account, you have the option to save and print the ticket to bring with you, display the ticket on your mobile device or send it to an email address to access later.
Frequently Asked Questions – Fast Track Health History
Your online donor account can help you keep track of your life-transforming donations, view your eligibility dates by donation type, schedule/manage your appointments and view your wellness information. If you have opted in to the Donor Recognition Program, you'll also see the points you've earned for each donation and will be able to access our online store to redeem those points for special thank-you gifts.
Our system may not have matched your information correctly to your donor record. A new account was created as though you were a brand new donor. Simply log in to your account and choose 'My Profile.' Then enter your donor ID number (not the prospect number displayed in your profile) to link your account with your existing donor record. If the email address you used to create this account doesn't match the email address in your donor record, you'll need to enter the donor record email address to successfully link your account.

No. While we appreciate your support of other blood centers' efforts to save lives, you'll see only the donations you've made with Vitalant.
You will receive your donor ID card approximately 5 weeks after you donate. If you still haven't received it after this time, please check that your address is correct in your account. If not, please update your address under 'My Profile' and then order your donor ID card by selecting 'Donor Card' in the top menu.
If you need a replacement ID card, you may order it after you log in to your donor account or you may ask one of our staff to order it for you. Please allow at least 5 weeks for your donor ID card to arrive in the mail.

Please allow at least 24 hours for us to update your donation history. If you do not see your donation information at that time, please call us at 877-258-4825.
First, you'll need to create an account in our new Donor Portal. Once you've created your account and logged in, you need to opt in to the Donor Recognition Program to start earning recognition points for each donation. You can opt in to the Recognition Program by selecting 'Recognition' and then click the link 'Manage Donor Recognition Program Options.' Once you opt in to the program, you'll be able to view and use points earned in the previous seven days. You may opt out at any time.
Each time you give a specific type of donation (whole blood*, platelets, double red cell, plasma or source plasma) you earn points. If you decide to switch donation types, or our staff ask you to based on current patient needs, you'll keep the points already earned and begin accruing points at the appropriate donation count in the new donation type category.
*Note: Vitalant is suspending recognition points for whole blood donation due to the financial impact of the pandemic. Apheresis donors (those who give automated donations) will continue to earn points. Thank you for saving lives with your blood donations!
You must first opt in to our Donor Recognition Program to view and use the points you've earned. If this is your first time donating blood with Vitalant, once you opt in to the program, you'll be able to view and use points earned in the previous seven days. Please allow at least 24 hours for your points to appear in your account.
Absolutely! You may choose to donate your earned points back to Vitalant. Go to 'Recognition' and then click the link 'Manage Donor Recognition Program Options' to indicate your preference.
If you participated in a previous rewards program with Vitalant, any points you earned that are still active have been transferred to your donor account as long as you've donated within the past 15 months. If you haven't donated within this time period, any previously earned points will expire. You must opt in to the new Donor Recognition Program to be able to redeem points.
No. These points are one of the ways we thank you for saving lives by donating blood. They cannot be transferred to another person. If you choose, you may donate them back to Vitalant. (See "I don't want to use any points I've earned. Can I give them back?")
We want to recognize your ongoing efforts to transform patients' lives. If you continue to donate, your points will remain active and redeemable. If you haven't donated for 15 months or longer, your points will expire.
No. You must opt in to the program first before you can start earning points after each blood donation.
Once you are opted in to the Donor Recognition Program, select 'Recognition' and then choose the orange 'Use Points' button to access our online rewards store.
From time to time, we may decrease the point value for a certain item in the Donor Recognition store based on inventory levels or changes in what we offer. Alternatively, we may increase the point value based on rising costs of specific items. We may modify the items in the store and their point values at any time without notice.
No. Only the points you earn by donating blood may be used for thank-you items.
